Robert has pledged his support for the 'Every Day is Different' campaign, which seeks to encourage people to consider a career in the social care sector. The new, national campaign aims to boost recruitment into the adult social care sector, where there are approximately 110,000 vacancies across England.
Speaking after meeting with social care workers at their recent event in Parliament, Robert said: "Delighted to pledge my support to the 'Every Day Is Different' campaign. With a growing number of people living longer, with increasingly complex health and social care needs, we need to fill this recruitment gap, and show how rewarding social care careers can be.
"We all know someone who has provided vital support to our friends and family when they need it most, and it is a welcome fact that 96% of care professionals feel their work makes a difference to people's lives."
