Robert said, "As part of my Communities Week, I hosted a course so that local members of the community could train to become Dementia Friends.
"As a trained Dementia Friends Champion, I wanted to encourage others to learn more about how to help those in our community who are living with dementia. We are lucky to have a positive, active group in the Witney Dementia Action Alliance who are helping to ensure that we create a dementia-friendly community.
"I was pleased and encouraged by the enthusiasm of the attendees today, and I hope that these new Dementia Friends will go on to teach more in our area how we can all take small actions to help those living with dementia. If you would like to learn more, you can contact me or find out more below."
