Robert said: “The recruitment and retention of GPs is one of the biggest challenges facing the NHS in our area. I am encouraged by the significant increase in the number of doctors entering GP training, and it is important this progress is built upon to meet the Government’s target of getting an extra 5000 GPs in the workforce by 2020.
“GPs are the bedrock of our NHS and it is vital that we train the doctors West Oxfordshire needs – now and in the future.”
