Thames Valley Air Ambulance are an amazing charity delivering truly critical care for all of us. Innovative, hard-working, always available - they are there for all of us were we ever to need them.
2022 was their busiest year on record. For the first time in TVAA's history, they attended more than 3,000 callouts in a single year, including 818 in Oxfordshire.
Behind each number is a real person going through perhaps the most traumatic event of their lives; the crews doing everything in their power to give them the best chance of survival.
It was an honour to visit their base at RAF Benson recently, to catch up with their CEO Amanda McLean, to see their latest helicopter, and learn more about the latest innovative technological advances that they are bringing to patient care.
