Statement on the Earthquakes in Turkey & Syria

Following the earthquake in Turkey last month teams from Brize Norton have been dispatched to offer frontline disaster relief.

As well as, delivering over 15 tonnes of aid to Turkey, the tactical medical wing from Brize Norton have been sent out to provide specialist emergency medical services and a medical treatment facility which includes a 10-bed ward on the ground.

I have been inspired by the significant support RAF Brize Norton has given to Turkey during this impossible time. I was therefore pleased to make my contribution during a statement on the Earthquake to highlight the incredible work Brize Norton are doing and that without them, British aid would not be going anywhere.
