I was pleased to recently speak in the House of Commons to highlight to the Secretary of State, Steve Barclay, the demand for GP appointments in West Oxfordshire.
More needs to be done to treat patients from an earlier stage at the primary and community level. This will dramatically increase positive patient outcomes and help take pressure off the NHS in the long term.
I was grateful for the Secretary of State’s response and his reassurance that this is an area the Department are looking into.
