Robert said: "It is incredible news that we have met the target of offering the vaccine to everyone in the top four priority groups identified by the JCVI.
"These groups have accounted for 88% of Covid-19 deaths so it is a truly extraordinary feat to have achieved just over two months after the very first Covid jab was administered on 8 December.
"Thank you to our NHS staff and volunteers, as well as our Armed Forces personnel supporting the rollout, for everything they are doing to protect local residents and help our country overcome this pandemic."
The rollout is now being expanded to over-65s and the clinically vulnerable.
