Robert Welcomes 'Great News' for West Oxfordshire Rail Users

Robert said: "Great news for West Oxfordshire rail users: following much lobbying and campaigning, Great Western Railway (GWR) have now reached an agreement with the Department for Transport to introduce Delay Repay 15 (DR15) compensation (delays that are 15 mins late or more) on GWR services from Monday 1 April 2019.

"This means that passengers will be able to claim back 25% of the single fare, irrespective of the cause of the delay between 15 and 29 minutes. Existing compensation arrangements already exist for delays of 30 minutes or over.

"Though my priority remains to improve overall reliability on the Cotswold Line, it is quite right that when things go wrong, passengers are compensated fairly and quickly."
