Robert said: "It is always a humbling honour to lay a wreath as the Member of Parliament for the Witney constituency every Remembrance Sunday. The honour was even more poignant this 100th anniversary year, and I was keenly aware that, all over West Oxfordshire and beyond, wreaths were being laid, family and friends remembered as well as those we have never been lucky enough to meet, from Harry Hooper, the first Witney man to die in the First World War over a century ago - and right up to the present day.
"We thank them all for their service, their sacrifice - and for our freedom."
