Robert has been elected by his fellow MPs to sit on the Transport Select Committee.
He has been a strong voice on local and national transport issues since being elected to Parliament, leading campaigns for improvements to the A40 and the Cotswold Line. Furthermore, he is Parliament’s leading champion of the community transport sector, establishing and chairing the very first All-Party Parliamentary Group for Community Transport.
Robert said: “Transport is one of the biggest issues facing West Oxfordshire which is why I am so pleased to have been elected to this important committee by my colleagues.
“Campaigning on transport issues over the last two years has given me a strong grasp of detail across road and rail policy. This understanding will ensure I make an active contribution to the committee as we analyse and scrutinise Government policy in the months ahead.”
