Robert has paid tribute to Charlbury-based charity SpecialEffect in Parliament, describing them as a “wonderful West Oxfordshire charity [doing] phenomenal work”.
Speaking in the House of Commons during Business Questions, Robert also took the opportunity to congratulate SpecialEffect on its recent ‘One Special Day’ event, which raised £300,000 for the charity. ‘One Special Day’ is the charity’s largest games industry funding event of the calendar year, which sees the worldwide gaming community come together to donate a day of their UK revenue to SpecialEffect.
After being invited by Robert to pay tribute to everyone at the charity, the Leader of the House of Commons stated: “I wish SpecialEffect the very best success in the future.”
Speaking afterwards, Robert said: “SpecialEffect are an extraordinary charity and I am proud to support the work they do to transform the lives of those living with a severe disability.”
