"I hope you are well and that you have enjoyed the first couple months of the year. How exciting that springtime is nearly upon us!
"I was pleased to host my first “Ask the GWR” event in Charlbury in February. Many of you made clear your views on our rail services in your correspondence to me over the Christmas period. Being a regular commuter from Hanborough, I am fully aware of how much we rely on our rail service providers, and how important it is that these services run to time. I therefore decided that local residents should have the opportunity to speak to GWR and Network Rail directly, to raise these concerns and learn more about future plans to improve rail services on the North Cotswold Line. If you were able to attend, I do hope you found this meeting informative and helpful. I will host similar “Ask the…” events in the future – so watch this space!
"Many of you have made clear your concerns about mental health, either when you have seen me out and about in Combe, or in written correspondence. Let me assure you that mental health provision is an absolute priority for me. That is why I welcome the work that we are doing to strengthen mental health services, such as the recent announcement that all NHS mental health organisations will be required to draw up detailed plans to achieve zero suicides. This will make mental health services better for both patients and staff – especially in our local surgeries – and I fully support this initiative.
"If there is anything you wish to raise with me, please do email me at robert@robertcourts.co.uk."
