Robert said, "I was pleased welcome to Cornbury-based charity Special Effect in Parliament last week to celebrate the launch of the Twin Town Challenge 2018.
"Special Effect has the support of many industry big-hitters – and rightly so. The charity modifies video games for young people with disabilities, so that they are able to play popular games with their friends and family. This is not just fun, but helps bring people together and help with therapy, confidence and rehabilitation.
"The Twin Town Challenge is back again this year, with all proceeds going to Special Effect. The challenge is for teams to buy a £500 banger, modify it and then drive from Blenheim Palace to our twin town, Le Touquet in northern France. Established in 2014, Twin Town takes place every 2 years and to date has raised more than £450,000 for Special Effect.
"At the reception, we were joined by the Minister for Disabled People, Penny Mordaunt, and was a suitable first step towards next year’s event."
