Robert Welcomes Guaranteed Interview Scheme for Veterans

Robert said: "Our 2019 Election Manifesto contained a welcome pledge to introduce a Guaranteed Interview Scheme for veterans, to remove the barriers that veterans face to employment after they have left military service and support their successful transition back into civilian life.

"Last year I supported Barclays' veterans outreach scheme, which supports veterans into work in the banking sector - and I am pleased we are committed to taking steps to ensure publicly funded bodies open up similar opportunities for ex-service personnel.

"I was glad to hear Ministers confirm that the Government is already pressing ahead with this scheme."
