Robert said: "I warmly welcome the Chancellor's announcement today of significant extensions to support offered to businesses and the self-employed during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Chancellor announced that:
"The furlough scheme will be extended until the end of March 2021, with the Government continuing to pay employees up to 80% of their usual salary for hours not worked, up to £2,500 a month.
"The next Self Employment Income Support Scheme grant, covering the period November to January, will be increased to 80% of earnings up to £7,500.
"These are really bold measures from the Government that will support our country through these difficult times."
