Robert has written to the Director of the developer partner of the Oxfordshire Cotswolds Garden Village to request a meeting following the news that a further £150,000 of capacity funding will be allocated to support the design and delivery of the project. The Government has said that this capacity funding ensures that local authorities delivering Garden Villages have the resources to fulfil their place-making ambitions. The funding could be used, for example, to fund dedicated staff teams, holistic master planning work, and key studies and assessments needed to underpin delivery.
Commenting on his letter, Robert said: "Residents must be consulted and feel able to communicate with developers throughout the Garden Village project. The Government says that it expects a collaborative process that listens to local people - and I will work to ensure the developer delivers on this."
