Robert said, "I had a very positive meeting with Environment Secretary Michael Gove to discuss concerns about sewage pollution in the River Windrush.
"I am pleased that the Environment Agency will be investigating the condition of the Windrush and that the Government is looking at broader legislative changes to address sewage pollution as part of the 25 Year Environment Plan.
"Looking forward to meeting with the Windrush Against Sewage Pollution again soon to discuss our next steps.
"It is absolutely vital that we protect our beautiful rivers – both in West Oxfordshire and further afield."
