Robert said: "Earlier this week I met with the new Secretary of State for Transport and the Roads Minister to lobby for their support in tackling congestion on the A40, with a particular eye on the County Council's bid to the Housing Infrastructure Fund (HIF).

"Also took the opportunity to stress the need for further redoubling of the Cotswold Line and the importance of delivering the B4044 Community Path to improve active travel in our area. I have subsequently written to the Secretary of State to stress the need for action."
