Robert said: "Thank you to the officers from Thames Valley Police in Witney who allowed me to spend some time with them out on patrol recently, to learn more about their difficult but vital jobs - and the challenges they face.
"I came away, as always, deeply impressed by their consummate professionalism and the cool, calm way in which they approach everything they do.
"We are so lucky to be protected by such wonderful men and women - I know I speak for everyone in West Oxfordshire when I thank them for everything they do to look after us."
