"Many of you have made clear your concerns about mental health, either when you have seen me out and about in Burford or in written correspondence. Let me assure you that mental health provision is an absolute priority for me. That is why I welcome the work that we are doing to strengthen mental health services, such as the recent announcement that all NHS mental health organisations will be required to draw up detailed plans to achieve zero suicides. This will make mental health services better for both patients and staff, and I fully support this initiative.
"Burford is home to an incredibly compassionate community, who will all agree that every person should have the security of a roof over their head. I am proud of the work that the Government is doing to break the homelessness cycle once and for all, including our commitment to eliminate rough sleeping by 2027. By working together with charities and local authorities who have already achieved so much, we can fulfil our joint ambition to help the most vulnerable in society.
"Rest assured, these are only a couple of my priorities for the year ahead. If there is any issue you wish to raise with me, please do email me at robert@robertcourts.co.uk – I would greatly appreciate hearing your views."
