The iconic Burford Bridge has been damaged since June 2022 - yet Oxfordshire County Council continues to drag their heels with its repairs.
Having originally been scheduled for repair in April of last year, the bridge remains damaged and a local eye-sore in the centre of the otherwise picturesque Cotswold town. Residents in Burford rightly want to see results, not further delay - to what should be a top priority for the local highways authority.
At the end of last year I wrote to the highways team at OCC to express residents dismay over the Council's delay in repairing the bridge and to stress the need for these works to completed urgently.
I continue to raise this with the Council and to push them into rectifying the damage done to our historic bridge as soon as possible.
